As a Christ-follower, I believe that ALL lives matter to God. We taught our children in Sunday School "Jesus loves the little children of the world. Red and yellow and black and white they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world."
We are precious to God because we are His creation.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image...
Genesis 5:1 In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female..."
ALL lives matter because God loves us and sent His Son to die for our sins.
John 3:16 God loved the world [humanity] this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.
When we show racism, we are showing disrespect to our Creator. When we express a racist attitude, we disobey Scripture. Philippians 2:3 ...Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves..." That's a difficult verse to apply. It's hard not to think of ourselves more important than others. When people are discussing a crime, we might ask, "Was she/he black?" Wrong question. Why would we even ask that question? Do we think certain crimes are typically committed by blacks?
Do black lives matter? Of course. But blue lives matter as well. They matter because God has placed our police in a position of authority. Romans 13:1-2 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves,"
ALL lives matter. YOUR life matters.
